I just want to say one thing. Any of you people of color, or not of color for that matter, who disagree with the result in this case, or who choose to make your voice(s) be heard because of that belief - but who also did not watch the trial proceedings, nor know the facts of the case - SHAME on you! They got it 100% right this time, and that's all there is to it.
OK, one more thing. Mark O'Mara is a brilliant man, and deserves every ounce of the credit he receives.

Jodi Arias Live Trial Coverage
Jodi Arias with her victim, Travis Alexander (Image Source, and Via)
I don't know if any of you are following this trial, but it's getting into the seriously important stages. Click the image above to go to the live coverage page. Jodi, herself, has been on the stand for days, but tomorrow and the rest of this week should focus on the day of the murder itself. So far she's been narrating just about every detail of her life for the couple years leading up to June 4, 2008. I'm not into this case anywhere near as much as I was with Casey Anthony's, so I have still have no idea why it took 5 years for this to go to trial.
Anyway, here is another live coverage link if the one above isn't working.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UPDATE: There was no court on Thursday, as the judge was ill. For some reason there is also no court on Fridays for this case (not official for Fridays past today). Monday is a holiday, so no court Monday. So this will all resume again on Tuesday.
Casey Anthony Release: Didn't Drop The Ball, Did You, HLN?
Sorry but I found this extremely hilarious! HLN has been like "we've got your coverage for anything and everything Casey Anthony" ever since the trial started, but even going back to 3 years ago when Nancy Grace got ahold of it..... yada yada yada
MSNBC, FOX, and CNN all broke into coverage a little bit ago when she was released. HLN? The channel that carried 100% of trial coverage, and everything else? Nope. Their CEOs must have forgotten that Sunday starts at midnight.
Witnesses saw Anthony, who had been acquitted on July 5 of culpability in Caylee's death, exit escorted by guards wearing bullet-proof vests and carrying rifles, and stepped into a black SUV a few minutes after midnight. The Orange County Jail later confirmed her release.
A crowd of 300 had been waiting since midafternoon Saturday for Anthony's release, and many rushed into the street to follow the vehicle as she was driven away, briefly blocking the eastbound lanes of a six-lane road before police cleared them away.
Many carried signs for and against Casey Anthony, and some chanted Caylee's name.
A large police presence included the sheriff's mobile command center, five horse-mounted officers and at least 20 uniformed officers on foot, many wearing bullet-proof vests. Three news helicopters hovered overhead.' (Source)
"Whether people like it or not, the truth is the truth" -- Nancy Grace
Yeah.. Take some of your own medicine, woman! The trial is over. The prosecutors did not present nearly enough clear evidence to prove that "Tot mom" killed her daughter. You've gotta live with it. Move on.. Find another story to fascinate you, and ride its coattails to your journalistic heart's content. Leave this one alone.
By the way, take Jane Velez-Mitchell with you!
The Petition For Caylee's Law
Casey Anthony was found not guilty of first-degree murder or manslaughter on Tuesday in the case of her two-year-old daughter Caylee’s death. One of the central controversies of the case has been the fact that Anthony never notified law enforcement that her daughter was missing. Caylee was last seen on June 16, 2008; grandmother Cindy Anthony notified the police on July 15, a month later.
After hearing the verdict and seeing a Facebook page response, Oklahoman Michelle Crowder started a Change.org petition asking Congress to create “Caylee’s Law,” making it a federal offense and a felony for a parent or guardian to fail to report a child’s disappearance to law enforcement in a timely manner. (Source)
Click here to go sign the petition now! Had this law already been in place, there's no way Casey would've gotten away with this one.
OK you may or may not have heard by now, but this was actually part of the Casey Anthony trial, if you can believe it. There were arguments regarding whether trash was called "trash" or "garbage", and whether garbage was called "garbage" or "trash", or both... refuge, waste,
Coverage Of The Casey Anthony Trial
OK so the Casey Anthony trial is about to begin - after two and a half years. Couldn't this possibly be a violation of the 6th Amendment?
Casey Anthony Trial Date Set
Well, mark your calendars. The trial date for the homicide of of young Caylee Anthony has been set: May 2, 2011. Yep, apparently that's correct.. next year. What has a good chance to be the trial of the decade, I thought would begin in just a few months, but for some reason they are putting it off another year.
Having already pled guilty to 13 counts of check fraud, perhaps the defense needs more time. Nevertheless it is known that there is a lot of evidence the prosecution has yet to reveal to the public. Now that Casey Anthony is a felon, perhaps things change. Why not conduct the murder trial first? If she's found guilty, which I expect, that entire check fraud crap is moot, is it not? Think about it: "Death by lethal injection (or life in prison) for murder, plus an additional 13 months for check fraud." WTF?
Click the banner pic for the link, and you can go here for a lot more about this case.
