Mine
These laws that they make insinuate that there is this gigantic 10-foot cloud surrounding a smoker... And in this cloud there is no oxygen.. It is impossible to breathe. Oh my God! Everyone within 100 yards will be infected with -- smoke. They will die immediately! If we move, the CLOUD moves with us, and it is an incredible immediately dangerous CLOUD to anyone who happens to be in the area.. like an amazing amount of distance that may include the entire property.
The truth is that many people smoke. And many people can smoke and not offend anyone at all. And you know what? I'm OUTSIDE! I'm in open air! Ordinance or no ordinance, there is nothing logical that says "a smoker may not smoke outside in open air - away from other people."
Screw your ordinance!

Baby Birdies (OC)

Generations of these birds have done this exact thing at my house for years. They literally build a nest the same exact way - in the same exact place - every single year. Not only that, it wasn't but just about 2 months ago that 3 babies hatched and finally flew away. This year they used the same nest twice, and this time there are 4.. Amazing!

And here's Momma:

These are mine..

In Pictures: Japan 6 Months Later
from the Sacramento Bee

Last Sunday was the six-month anniversary of the day the massive earthquake and tsunami devastated Japan's northeast coast. Some 20,000 people are dead or missing. More than 800,000 homes were completely or partially destroyed. The disaster rippled businesses, roads and infrastructure. The Japanese Red Cross Society estimates that 400,000 people were displaced.
Half a year later, there are physical signs of progress. Much of the debris has been cleared away or at least organized into big piles. In the port city of Kesennuma, many of the boats carried inland by the tsunami have been removed. Most evacuees have moved out of high school gyms and into temporary shelters or apartments.
Last week the Kyodo News agency distributed an amazing group of combination photographs showing three scenes. The first scene is right after the earthquake and tsunami hit, then three months later and finally, how the scene looks now.
This is a must-see set of photographs. Click here to see the huge set.

Casey Anthony Photographed In Ohio

Casey Anthony was hanging out in Ohio this past weekend... and now new photos - the first since her release from jail - have surfaced showing the 25-year-old hiding in plain sight during a mid-day shopping trip.
Casey was photographed on Sunday - trying to blend in by wearing an Ohio State University baseball cap, a tight-fitting top and glasses as she walked around town... stopping at an Old Navy to check out some dresses.
Anthony has several relatives who live in Ohio - but it's unclear if she has spent time them. Sources extremely close to Anthony tell us she has been bouncing around the country ever since her release from jail after being acquitted of murdering her daughter.
Next stop - no one seems to know. (Source)
Actually, she apparently is supposed to appear back in Orlando tomorrow for a probation "check-in".
Here's the full TMZ article - complete with 27 pictures, if you feel like it.
