Augusta National To Be Featured on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012

OK I'm not really promoting this news, nor this new game - although I'm sure it will be great for a lot of people to play Augusta National.

The reason I'm posting this is that I've played Augusta National hundreds of times on Jack Nicklaus 6 - Golden Bear Challenge. Many designers featured very, very nice versions of Augusta way back when, and all were super! And it hasn't been that long ago. The game came out in 1999, and at the time was the best golf sim around. I would even go out on a very short, sturdy limb and say it probably still is!

We'll see.

Here's That Incredible Tyreke Evans Buzzer Beater

The crazy thing is that O.J. Mayo's jumper with 3 seconds left is pretty amazing in itself! Then I guess Tyreke had to say, "I got one better than that right here.."

Man Jumps From Romanian Parliament Balcony

A public television employee jumps off the Parliament hall's balcony to protest at the government's austerity drive, including wage cuts and tax hikes in the recession-hit economy as Prime Minister Emil Boc addresses during a no-confidence vote over IMF-backed wage reforms in Bucharest, December 23, 2010.

A Romanian man was severely injured Thursday after he flung himself from parliament’s balcony in protest at the centre-right government of Emil Boc’s austerity measures, medical sources said.

Adrian Sobaru, 40, threw himself off, shouting “Boc, you have stolen the children’s future,” witnesses said.

Mr. Sobaru, an electrician working for public television, suffered several facial fractures but his condition was stable, a spokesman for the emergency hospital in Bucharest said.

Local media said he was protesting at the austerity package adopted in July, which reduced by 15% an allowance aimed at helping his family take care of an autistic son.

The incident took place as lawmakers prepared to start debates on a no-confidence motion tabled by the opposition.

Parliament was suspended for an hour, and the motion was eventually defeated in the absence of opposition MPs.

Prime minister Boc said he regretted the “tragic event”, adding he understood the difficulties facing Romanians at this time of crisis.

The defeat of the no-confidence motion cleared the way for the adoption of a public sector wage bill before the end of the year as the government had pledged to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union.

Crisis-hit Romania in May 2009 obtained a 20-billion-euro loan from the IMF and the EU in exchange for a drastic reduction in public expenditure.

Here's the video (In no way gruesome, but might be slightly disturbing):

Amazing Bandsaw Creation

Via - (VNSFW)

As the video states at the end, get more info at woodworking in action dot com.

My dad would have L-O-V-E-D this video. He used to do this type of stuff literally all the time. He even made deer like this, although not in this way. He made tons and tons of logos - replicated in little wooden signs. I'm gonna have to make a post here with some of his creations in it. He was very, very talented working with wood, and everything I know I got from him.

This one's for you, Dad, I miss you!

11 Well-deserving NFL Playoff Teams - And One Other

Click the image for full stats list

OK - Let's all pick the best 12 teams in the league for the playoffs. Seriously, go up and pick them..

(Jeopardy theme playing...)

Did anyone pick the Seattle Seahawks? Exactly.

Such a travesty that TWO 10-6 teams will miss out, and this team gets to go lose to the Saints. Not only that - they actually get to host the game next week! Let's look a little deeper:

It's not just the 10-6 NY Giants, and the 10-6 Tampa Bay Bucs that have a serious gripe, here.

There are also the 9-7 San Diego Chargers, the 8-8 Jacksonville Jags, and the 8-8 Oakland Raiders who have something to be pissed about. Wait a minute.. look at the Raiders' division record. Wow - they went undefeated 6-0 in a division that went a combined total of 31-33. That's right! They beat the 10-6 Chiefs twice, the 9-7 chargers twice, and the other team Broncos twice too.

The Seahawks now go to the playoffs by virtue of winning a division which went a combined total of 25-39. OK so it must be pretty important how a team does in its own division, afterall, they get to go to the playoffs simply by having the best record of the four teams in that division. How did the Seahawks do in that division? Well, they went 4-2. Ehh.....

Let me fore-go any further ranting valid arguments, and just provide you with this to look at for a few minutes. All you have to do is compare the teams here and their respective statistics:
