...and a great dancer! And where the hell is the spider? Nine times out of ten, you never even find the spider, much less find it on you.

A 2003 Cold Set

Remedy

Suffocate

Gone Away (A Song for Starr)

Stupid Girl

A Different Kind of Pain 2005

Happens All The Time 2005

And the two that are in a class by themselves:

Cure My Tragedy

"Cure My Tragedy" is one of my favorite songs of all-time. It cleanses my soul, as it's the one that drove me to tears so many times. Thank you Stephanie, my love, and my everything!

Wasted Years

All I have to do is listen to Cold, and memories from September of 2003 come back really strong. I had just met the woman of my dreams. She rescued me from a terrible relationship, and the moment we met, I knew I had found "the one". We used to cruise around in her little green Mitsubishi Lancer listening to all sorts of stuff.. Godsmack, Staind, Chevelle.. But it was her introducing me to Cold that cemented so many memories. That's how it is. When you're going through changes in your life (and really even when you're not) the introduction of beautiful brand new music stays with you. And Cold will always stay with me for this reason. I love you Steph!

South Texas Black Widow

Here are the best of the pictures of the black widow my wife & I found in my Mom's garage. This one was smaller than the ones I've seen in person in the past. This one might've been very close to the size of a quarter. Her legs are just about all spread out in the top image. (Enlarge these..)

And yes, as you'll see, this widow not only had the characteristic hourglass design on her ventral abdomen, but also a very similar-looking shape on her dorsal side. Is it a male? I don't think so, since we busted it wrapping up a little bug in a web. Male's are usually brownish, have orange or yellow markings, and their only function in life is to impregnate females. Supposedly they don't wrap up bugs, nor go on feeding binges to find bugs - they merely eat what they can quickly catch.

Doggy Halloween Costume

What a cool idea - that is if you're going to walk your dog while your kids are trick-or-treating, or something..

Acoustic Levitation

Acoustic levitation is a method for suspending matter by using radiation pressure from intense sound waves - ex. an ultrasound emitter and reflector generate a sound pressure field. Some methods can levitate objects without creating sound heard by the human ear, others produce some audible sound. Apparently ants, spiders and ladybugs have endured this trick.

Here's an annoying video about it (turn down your volume a bit):

This is an acoustic levitation chamber I designed and built in 1987 as a micro-gravity experiment for NASA related subject matter. The 12 inch cubed plexiglass Helmholtz Resonant Cavity has 3 speakers attached to the cube by aluminum acoustic waveguides.

By applying a continuous resonant(600Hertz) sound wave, and by adjusting the amplitude and phase relationship amongst the 3 speakers; I was able to control levitation and movement in all 3 (x,y,z) axis of the ambient space.

This research was used to show the effects of micro-gravity conditions that exist in the space shuttle environment in orbit, but done here on Earth in a lab.
This is not "anti-gravity." So don't waste time arguing something pointless.
