Missouri Tigers' senior Marcus Denmon - Image Source: AP / NewsTribune.com
With the 59th pick in the 2012 NBA draft, the San Antonio Spurs picked Missouri's Marcus Denmon. He's a smart 6'3" shooting guard, who was a key piece of the Tigers' run & gun style. The guy can shoot, has a knack for steals, and led the Tigers in scoring the last two seasons.
Here's a good article about him from Bleacher Report..

Update To A Prior Post

I'm still unsure after looking at the pictures, but only because I don't think I've ever seen such a creature - in real life, I mean. But then again, we don't get a ton of rain here, and when we do, we have all sorts of flooding problems, which drain-holes in curbs would PROBABLY alleviate!!
So if you find one other than the one below, send it to me, I'd like to see it.
Anyway the following pictures further explain what I'm talking about (click all to enlarge):

This is certainly just as possible if not more probable than the belief that wood could pierce concrete, although I'm sure it can... right? I don't know, but glad I had a comment on my original post in the first place, because it led me to this terrific post from one of the best places to go for stunning images of what's going on in the world - The Big Picture at Boston Dot Com.
Anyway, here are a few images I've found thanks to doing this update. Neither are concrete, but both are incredible... and guess where both were taken? That would also be Joplin, MO, 5/23/2011 (gulp!):

Before & After Bird's Eye Views Of Joplin, MO
Before and after photos of Joplin, Mo., have been floating around the Internet since the tornado swept through on [a week ago] Sunday — and one of the more striking comparisons is attributed to Aaron Fuhrman. We reached out to him and he shared several more photos, as well as his story. Combined with screen grabs from Google street view, these interactive images show just how devastating the damage has been.
Click the banner image above to see the before & after images, and be sure to click the "as seen from the street" link from that page, as well as the first link in the text above.

High School Band T-Shirts Create Stir Among Parents
T-shirts worn by the Smith-Cotton High School band have evolved into controversy among parents.
The shirts, which were designed to promote the band’s fall program, are light gray and feature an image of a monkey progressing through stages and eventually emerging as a man. Each figure holds a brass instrument. Several instruments decorate the background and the words “Smith-Cotton High School Tiger Pride Marching Band” and “Brass Evolutions 2009” are emblazoned above and below the image.
