Just for a moment - I'd like everyone to imagine what would have happened at the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017, had 4 or 5 THOUSAND of those 20,000 concert attendees pulled out their handguns and began firing.

(Towards the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Towards the Luxor. Towards helicopters... towards each other...)

Americans have a lot of guns. There are a lot of data showing that Americans have a lot of guns. The Guardian put together some such data – on world firearms murders and ownership. USA is #1 when it comes to gun ownership. America is also near the top when it comes to percentage of homicides by firearm, though not so far out in the lead as with average ownership. (Source)
