I played dodgeball as a kid.. well in junior high. I think maybe even in HS a few times. All I remember about it is getting pelted by a ball when you least expect it! And you're out for a while. That part sucked.
Here's an incredible video by the University of Alberta.. apparently breaking the record for most players competing in a single dodgeball game. The camera work is spectacular, and makes a great video. The game itself? Ehh... Decide for yourself:
I didn't see a whole lot of camera time being devoted to people getting hit, nor walking off upset because they just got plastered. Lastly, I'd love to know what type of strategy would be employed for a team of, say, 600 to win the game?! Kinda like the strategy for tennis doubles - only in tennis you get a bunch of points. In dodgeball there are no time outs.
